What is a Telescopic Sliding Gate?
A telescopic gate system is made of two (or more) sliding gate panels configured to slide together in a synchronized fashion. The leading (master) gate is positioned closest to the inside of the property, while the trailing (slave) gate stays closer to the street. This design drastically reduces the total clearance space required to open the gates fully.
Example – Traditional vs. Telescopic:
Standard Sliding Gate:
Driveway Width: 4000mm
Required Gate Length: 4350mm
Clearance Needed: 4350mm (extra 350mm for tail)
Telescopic Sliding Gate:
Driveway Width: 4000mm
Each Gate Leaf: (4000mm / 2) + 500mm = 2500mm
Required Clearance: Just 2500mm
